Our Missions
Wonders Found was established to earn funds to support the mission trips of the Mt. Calvary United Methodist Church mission team. This team began helping the victims of disasters after Katrina.
It was soon realized that to continue this work the cost would be beyond what the church itself could budget for. So in 2011 the thrift shop was established for this purpose. Since that time, well over 20 mission trips have been undertaken to places like Alabama, North Carolina, South Dakota, New Jersey, New York, West Virginia and of course, Pennsylvania. Cost for all volunteers are covered by Wonders Found. We also send our youth mission team to a summer project annually.
In addition to the ministries listed below, we provide clothing and houseware items to local victims of disasters as well as food and gas money to stranded travelers who contact the church for help.
Bethesda Mission
Bethesda Mission is a shelter for homeless men, women and families in Harrisburg, PA. We support them annually and have partnered with them in the construction of their new Youth Center.
